In the apartment downstairs, her hand is weighed down with the crystal lead of a green, ornate, 1970s wine glass leaving the scribbled lines of her palm exposed, so he, the one she thinks she loves, can read their practice future.
Katy Whittingham has her MFA in creative writing from Emerson College. She teaches writing at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Bridgewater State University. Her poetry collection By A Different Ocean was published by Plan B Press, VA. She has short stories, poems, and photography published in many well regarded journals and magazines.
