A gravel pit is filled with many marvels. Maybe a perfectly smooth petrified goose egg or the odd glitter of something semi-precious next to the rusty engine of a split piece of quartz. Gather them in a pouch now, because enough rain and they'll be silt beneath our feet.
We can't resist things that glitter, things that have formed under pressure, small pieces of proof of the way of the world. In this way even the body collects stones.
Try to keep the stones of childhood close. The ones we lose are so much more pleasant than the ones we gain. Jingle the pouch every now and then to remind your body that you have just enough already. And failing that always be sure to hydrate adequately.
