Because we are both cartoons
I will flick your uvula
with my tongue and listen to it
reverberate, parenthesis extending
from your neck and mouth like sonar,
catching them in my own mouth and chewing
them like saxophone jerky. And I will wear
the brackets from your teeth like an empty
rowboat on the baldness of Lake Kamikaze.
I will also make love to you like two
inside-out barracudas, salty and demonic
and lustfully dead in the emptiest sea;
our bed was made by a tornado
that we both created when our
mothers, equally precise, asked
if a tornado had run through here.
We answered, "Yes mothers," and continued
our stupid, nonlinear love scene
with sounds like crushed duck and ink
spilling from the bed like miracles
of shadowless, uniform impossibilities.
